A small device used to ignite fireworks or other pyrotechnic devices. It consists of a small length of nichrome wire or other conductive material coated with a pyrotechnic composition. When an electric current is passed through the wire, it heats up and ignites the composition, causing the desired pyrotechnic effect. Ematches are commonly used in professional pyrotechnics and can be remotely triggered using electrical signals for precise timing and coordination of multiple effects. They offer a reliable and safe method of igniting fireworks and other pyrotechnics with minimal delay.
