CATO stands for “Catastrophe At TakeOff”. It’s a worse-case situation that builders of mortar racks should consider and test in order to minimize rack damage and maximize safety. I built this rack a few months ago and wanted to test what happens when a 62mm 1.4 pro firework shell explodes inside the tube. Do we have to go back to the drawing board or did the rack hold up?
